L-W-O Community supports primary and secondary lymphoedema by promoting emotional wellness, lymphatic health, self-care, patient empowerment, online and in the community.
When lymphoedema starts, it doesn’t always shout for attention. Instead, it whispers through small, often confusing changes in your body. You might notice a slight swelling in an arm or leg or a feeling of heaviness that wasn’t there before. These early lymphoedema symptoms can be easy to dismiss as tiredness or normal aches.
Why Lymphoedema Skin Tips Matter.
Your skin serves as the primary barrier for your body. With lymphoedema, the lymphatic system struggles to drain fluid properly, which can cause swelling and make your skin more prone to cracks, dryness, and infections like cellulitis. I have been lucky and have avoided cellulitis. We don't understand why some people get it while others don't.
